Tour Details

The Medical Society of Mobile, Alabama invites you to join us for the Sixth Annual Tour de LADR Bike and Run! This year’s event promises to be the best ever.

Date & Location

This year’s race will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, at The Grand Hotel located at One Grand Boulevard in Point Clear, Alabama. Registration will open at 7am.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8:00am – Runners start
9:15am – Bikers start
10:00am – 1 Mile Fun Run
10:30am – Awards
8:00-10:00am – Kids Fitness Challenge open

BIKE DETAILS
Starting from the Grand Hotel to Pelican Point and back – 21.4 miles. The course terrain is fairly flat. One lane of Highway 98 will be blocked off for the bikers.

RUN DETAILS
USATF certified course AL01018JD on Highway 98. Walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K. Individuals who walk and jog should register themselves as runners.

FUN RUN DETAILS
From the Grand Hotel tennis courts through Lakewood subdivision, this 1-mile fun run is great for all ages.

KID’S ACTIVITIES
New this year, we are offering supervised activities for the children of the participants/volunteers. We will be having an awesome Kids Fitness Challenge Obstacle Course!

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the 1st and 2nd top overall male and female biker and the 1st and 2nd top overall male and female runner. Awards will also be given to each winner in 5 year age group categories for bikers and runners.

Tour Proceeds

100% of the registration fees go to Camp Rap-A-Hope, a camp for children with cancer.  Further information about Camp Rap-A-Hope can be found at www.camprapahope.org.  Additional proceeds benefit The Mobile Medical Endowment Trust, Inc., a foundation that provides scholarships to medical students.  The Mobile Medical Endowment Trust is a non-profit 501C3 organization.  Any contributions are tax deductible.
